A glass of green juice in the morning

Hello! Mornings are always better with a green juice. This recipe is a delicious combination of broccoli, cucumber, and lemon, paired with fresh, green apples to provide a subtle sweetness.

Clean, prep and chop all ingredients to fit your juicer. Juice in the order given⁣

4 to 5 cups of broccoli (florets and stems)⁣
1 lemon, peeled⁣
1 cucumber⁣
2 green apples, core removed⁣

yield: approx. 20 ounces⁣

Broccoli - Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli can be extremely beneficial for your health. Broccoli is known for its potent concentration of sulforaphane. Sulforaphane works in the body to help support detoxification, hormone balance, and cellular health.⁣

Cucumber - Cucumbers contain a good amount of water. This helps to maintain good hydration. Since it also contains sodium and potassium, which maintain electrolytes balance, it can also prevent or alleviate water retention and swelling.⁣

Green Apple - Green apples are great for juicing. They are lower in sugar, while still providing a touch of sweetness. Apple juice contains a perfect blend of the fiber pectin, minerals, and sorbitol. These compounds work synergistically to help relieve constipation and bloating.⁣

Lemon - As you may already know, lemons have a lot of health properties. But did you know - regular lemon juice consumption can decrease the formation of kidney stones? Lemons contain citrate, which binds with calcium to prevent stone formation.⁣
