Hello, we have a delicious hydrating juice today with a subtle berry, mint and fennel flavor. We think you will enjoy this one!⁣

Fennel and Blueberries : 20 ounces⁣
Clean, prep and chop all ingredients to fit your juicer. Juice in the order given⁣

1 cucumber, peeled⁣
5 mint leaves⁣
1 cup blueberries⁣
1 small fennel bulb⁣
1 small red apple⁣

optional: add half a lime, peeled⁣

Cucumber – One of the best qualities of a cucumber is its water content. Depending on the type of cucumber you use, they can be more than 95% water. Cucumbers have small amounts of minerals like potassium and magnesium which help the body hydrate better. This is because the minerals make the water easier to absorb.⁣

Fennel – Fennel is a great addition for digestive health due to its digestion-enhancing properties. The compounds found in fennel and its seeds help to stimulate the body’s production of digestive enzymes. This can help with stomach pain, acid reflux and indigestion.⁣

Mint – Like fennel, mint is another great digestive aid. This particular herb has carminative effects. Basically, what that means is it helps the muscles of the intestines to contract and promote movement. This helps prevent and release constipation and gas from the system. ⁣

Apple – We are in the middle of apple season, which makes it a great time to add them to your juice. Did you know, the skin of the apple contains a compound called quercetin? Quercetin is considered one of the most bioactive flavonoids. Research suggests it plays a positive role in healthy cellular function, cardiovascular health and can encourage a healthy immune response.⁣

Blueberries – Blueberries contain phytochemicals called anthocyanins which are free radical scavengers. These free radicals can be used to scavenge the free radicals produced through the liver detoxification system. These antioxidants protect the liver from damage and increase antioxidant enzymes. ⁣
