Pure Green Juice

Hello and Happy every day! We love to enjoy a green juice in the morning. It’s the perfect boost to wake up, hydrate, and nourish the body. If you’re ready to start your day on a high note, try out this take on a green juice. ⁣

Clean, prep and chop all ingredients to fit your juicer. Juice in the order given.⁣

6 romaine leaves ⁣
10 mint leaves⁣
1/2 cup of seedless green grapes⁣
1/2 lemon, peeled⁣
1 apple⁣
6 celery ⁣

yield: approx. 24 ounces⁣

Romaine - Leafy greens like romaine are a good source of Vitamin K. Regular consumption of vitamin K rich foods is important for blood clotting regulation. Proper blood clotting allows wounds to heal and prevents excessive bleeding.⁣

Mint - Fresh mint adds an invigorating twist to your morning juice. Some research suggests that the smell and ingestion of these invigorating properties can reduce fatigue and improve alertness.⁣

Green grapes - Green and red grapes are rich in polyphenols that protect against inflammation and DNA damage. The polyphenol compounds found in grapes show potential protection against pollutants and ultraviolet light. ⁣

Lemon - Lemons and other citrus fruits make great additions as cold and flu season approaches. Lemons are rich in vitamin C, which acts as an antioxidant and supports the immune system. When consumed in high amounts, Vitamin C shows potential to decrease the length and severity of illness.⁣

Apple - Apples make a great addition to juice blends by adding a subtle sweetness. On top of that, apples contain a flavonoid called quercetin. Quercetin is found in the skin of the apple and acts as a natural antihistamine. ⁣

Celery - Celery contains an abundance of nutrients with antioxidant properties. These powerful antioxidants include apigenin, luteolin, limonene, and more. Antioxidants help ward off cellular damage caused by free radicals. Our bodies naturally produce free radicals, but we need a means to get rid of them. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals to protect us from disease and cell damage.⁣
