Arugula and Beet Juice

Hello we have a super nutritious juice recipe for you today -enjoy!⁣

Clean, prep and chop all ingredients to fit your juicer. Juice in the order given. ⁣

arugula -small handful ⁣
1 lemon, peeled⁣
10 -12 raspberries⁣
1 apple, cored⁣
1 red beet⁣
2 golden beets ⁣

yield: approx. 12 ounces⁣

Arugula – Arugula is a great addition to a heart-healthy routine. This leafy green is actually part of the cruciferous vegetable family. It offers the protective effects of beneficial plant compounds, like polyphenols. These anti-inflammatory compounds can help improve cholesterol, blood pressure, and overall circulation.⁣

Lemon – To top it all off, lemon rounds out this blend with more cardiovascular health benefits. Lemons are a rich source of the bioflavonoids, hesperidin and diosmin. These nutrients are commonly found in cholesterol-lowering supplements.⁣

Raspberries – Raspberries add a great sweet and sour punch to juice blends. But the benefits don’t stop there. Raspberries contain the polyphenols your body needs to get through an active day. These antioxidants help manage the by-products released by the body after strenuous exercise. In turn, you may have less muscle pain and inflammation in the days to come!⁣

Apple – We love apples for so many reasons. Did you know the skin of the apple contains a compound called quercetin. Quercetin is a bioflavonoid found in brightly colored fruits. This compound is anti-inflammatory and can help accelerate recovery after a workout.⁣

Beets – Have you ever heard that certain foods look similar to the organs and systems they benefit? Beet juice has excellent health benefits for our blood and cardiovascular system. They are rich in nitrates, which the body uses to convert into nitric oxide. This makes it the perfect addition to your fitness routine. Nitric oxide helps to lower blood pressure, boost endurance performance, and decrease muscle soreness.⁣
