New Carrot Recipe

Hi! Let's share a new twist on traditional carrot juice. We mixed carrots, apples, zucchini, ginger, turmeric and lemon. It has anti-inflammatory and intestinal support properties.

Carrot & Zucchini Juice⁣
Clean, prep and chop all ingredients to fit your juicer. Juice in the order given.⁣

1 lemon⁣
1” turmeric⁣
1” ginger⁣
2 cups chopped zucchini⁣
1 apple⁣
6 carrots⁣

yield approx. 20 ounces⁣

Lemon - The acidic nature of lemon is similar to your stomach’s very own digestive juices. Adding lemon to juices, foods, and smoothies encourages the body to produce its own digestive enzymes, like bile. This helps your body absorb and break down nutrients more efficiently.⁣

Turmeric - Turmeric doesn’t just add spice to your life. It’s been used in Ayurvedic medicine for years as an anti-inflammatory. A compound in turmeric, called curcumin, has shown the ability to inhibit many of the molecules responsible for inflammation. ⁣

Ginger - Similar to turmeric, ginger root has been used for thousands of years. Ginger root contains many bioactive components such as the ketone [6]-gingerol. It not only gives ginger its pungent taste, but it provides numerous health benefits. Some of which include anti-tumor and anti-proliferative effects.⁣

Zucchini - Zucchini is incredibly versatile. It is rich in water and nutrients, but has a very mild taste that doesn’t compete with other flavors. Zucchini tends to be a very well tolerated vegetable for those with digestive distress or bloating. ⁣

Carrot - Carrots are great for the digestive system. One of the most important nutrients to maintain a healthy gut lining is vitamin A. Carrot juice happens to be a rich source of beta carotene, which converts to vitamin A. Research suggests that getting adequate amounts of this vitamin helps prevent breakdown of the gastric lining.
